ABSTRACT
This article deals with the place of educational policy in the continuing education of teachers of municipal schools in Belo Horizonte and São Paulo, seeking to ascertain the aspect with which this theme appears in moments of collective education. It is part of a qualitative approach of bibliographic-documental nature, which includes a literature review on the topic, the survey and analysis of the legislation, data on the themes worked in training proposals in the last five years and how they express the locus for teachers in the context of the educational policies. The results point to the fragility of the debate on educational policy in the context of continuing education and show that the space allocated to teachers in the context of educational policies is limited in general, reduced to training for the execution of proposals, impacting the potential participation of teachers in the formulation of educational policies.
