ABSTRACT
This article discusses the teaching work in higher education, considering the educational challenges of the contemporary world. It is an exploratory bibliographic research guided by the question “how to plan, develop, and evaluate the work in higher education classrooms, from complex perspectives?” Authors based on complex or ecosystemic thinking were reviewed. This choice was made based on the assumption that this theoretical framework has breadth, depth, and consistency to approach both global educational phenomena in today’s world-society as well as the didactic-pedagogical routine. Based on the reviewed authors, we reflected on limits of traditional pedagogy and possibilities of an emerging pedagogy, based on complexity, in higher education teaching, considering its planning, pedagogical action, and evaluation dimensions.
