Photographing stars with a digital camera

Several possible applications of digital cameras for the teaching of astronomy are presented in this work. The techniques described here involve low cost resources when compared to professional equipment used for the same purpose. In the first part of the work the suitable settings to obtain images of the night sky are described; in the second part strategies for astronomy teaching with the aid of these images are presented.
