A literature review about data acquisition system in physics education in middle and high school levels, and in teacher training

This paper presents a literature review that approaches the current state of the data acquisition systems implementation in physics teaching; mainly at Middle and High School levels and in teachers training. The main search was performed in 35 journals found in the following databases: Science Direct, Scopus, Web of Science and Google Scholar, taking into account, as selection criteria, articles related to the use of sensors in physics education, in middle and high school and teacher training. Some of the main results of the selected articles analysis show that the implementation of these technological tools with a clearly defined pedagogical and didactic basis is still in an incipient stage, especially in teacher training programs. This shows that it is necessary to strengthen research in this field with the purpose of introducing strategies that allow appropriation of the different tools offered by Information and Communication Technologies and use them for conceptualization in physics. Regarding the themes or conceptual fields addressed in the works, we find that predominate Kinematics (8), Wave Movement (6), Electromagnetism (5), Thermodynamics (4) and Dynamics (2).

Keywords:
data acquisition systems; physics education; experimental activity; teachers training
