Abstract
This paper is concerned with the Expedition of the Royal Greenwich Observatory, with emphasis in the notes realized by the British commission, composed by Andrew C. D. C. Crommelin and Charles R. Davidson, sent to Sobral to obtain photographic plates exhibiting stars near the Sun, during the eclipse of May 29, 1919. These images ended up in being fundamental for the probing of the Theory of General Relativity.
