Chaotic behavior in a non-linear RLC circuit

The chaos phenomenon is investigated in an experiment related to RLC circuits with the aim of studying the basic concepts and possible practical applications. In this circuit, the substitution of the capacitor by the diode provides a variable capacitance leading to chaotic oscillations if the frequency of the applied tension is adequate. Support softwares are used in such a way that the students can simulate the trajectories leading to chaos.
