History and epistemology of Physics in the preparation of physics teachers: a course that attempts to change students' conceptions on the nature of science

In this paper we describe how a course on history and epistemology of physics was implemented in the curriculum of physics teachers preparation and we present a quantitative analysis of changes that happened in students' conceptions regarding the nature of science. This paper is the third one of series of four papers that describe with details the experience we had in the implementation of this course. The other papers are of qualitative nature.
