A three-phase electric generator was built, using a washing machine motor. Due to its power, it is capable of connecting various household appliances and small-power industrial machines, such as drills, electric saws and grinders. The generator was coupled to the parts of a bicycle in a system called “generator coupled to a bicycle”. Theories relevant to teaching the production and characterization of alternating electrical energy were approached and experimentally proven. This experiment can be used both for demonstrative purposes, in science fairs, recreational activities, and also in the teaching of electric energy generation.
