Development of an experimental Arduino kit for teaching Modern Physics in High School

In the present article we describe the construction and operation of a low cost experimental kit to demonstrate the photoelectric effect. In this way, we employed the Arduino platform for control and computer interfacing as well as a picoammeter with a high gain and impedance op-amp. A graphic interface for computers and mobile devices was also developed in order to control the hardware and to display, in real time, the experimental data. We also present the application of the same kit for studying the thermionic effect and the electric conductivity of plasma.
