ABSTRACT
This is a case report on the construction and implementation of the PET – Family Health program of the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC) with the Municipal Health Department of Florianópolis. It is important to emphasize that the construction was based on interventions, processes, knowledge produced, potentials, difficulties encountered and future prospects. These actions take place in collective activities with the elderly, teenagers and students, extending throughout the community. Healthy behaviors are encouraged, risk is avoided and a user-centered approach to life and health is strengthened. It was a challenge to reconcile schedules and different views. The aims were to strengthen teaching assistance integration, the inclusion of other courses in primary care, interdisciplinary work, providing the patient with comprehensive care. Reflections on the situation and dialogues between health professionals and teachers have generated incremental changes in training, construction of curricula and consequent impact on improving the quality of care.
