CONTRIBUIÇÃO AO ESTUDO DOS VALORES, FINALIDADES E OBJETIVOS DA EDUCAÇÃO MÉDICA

Summary:

The Author, after making a revision of philosophical literature, he establishes his points of view about values concept and nature. After placing the values importance im Medical Education, he establishes three criteria for his choices: one historical, one socio-cultural and another prafmatic.

Afterwards be makes a Medical Education values classification and description: 1 - Logic-epistemologis values: truth search, knowledge search, mental discipline, capacity to make principle revision, disposition to discover and to respect new facts, to stimulate creativiness; 2 - Ethics values: goodness, justice, freedom, discipline, responsibility, patient respect, life respect, group participation, to make decisions capacity, honesty, moderation, humility, serenity, scruples; 3 - Esthetic value: beauty.

The author defends that Medical Education must consider cultural, socioeconomics, and political finalities, resulting of the chosen values. At last he proposes a toxonomy of medical education objectives, with foundation in the bloom taxonomy, considering the cognitive, affective and psychomotor field of action.
