Abstract:
The undergraduate course on Basic Clinical Skills (BCS) provides the connection between preclinical and clinical training in medical school in this paper; the teaching of BCS is emphasized as essential to the development of clinical reasoning, leading one to proper diagnosis and the establishment of a good physician patient relationship. The article discusses the course's objectives, logistics, staff, structure, and development based on experience at the University of Brasilia.
