Medical Education: Who is responsible? A Student´s Approach to the Question

Abstract:

The author provides brief analysis of the various actors involved in Medical Education from the point of view of the commitments they assume. The study evaluates both the various stages in medical education - undergraduate studies, graduate training, and continuing education and how the government, school of medicine, students, health services, faculty, and physicians either meet their commitments and responsibilities or fail to do so, while valorizing the social functions currently expected of medical schools and health professionals.
