Revision of the neotropical genus Apophorhynchus Williston (Diptera, Ropalomeridae)

The genus Apophorhynchus and the species A. flavidus Williston, 1895 and A. amazonensis Prado, 1966 are redescribed. One new species, A. brevipenis sp. nov., is described from Brazil (Amazonas). The three species are illustrated and keyed.
