Redescription of the adult male and description of the puparium of <i>Hirmoneuropsis luctuosa</i> (Philippi) (Diptera, Nemestrinidae) from central Chile

The male of Hirmoneuropsis luctuosa (^{Philippi, 1865}Philippi, R.A., 1865. Aufzählung der chilenischen Dipteren. Verh. Zool. Bot. Ges. Wien 15, 595-782 (7 plates).) is redescribed and the puparium is described and illustrated for the first time. Hirmoneuropsis luctuosa is compared with other species of the genus. Illustrations of diagnostic characters of the male and pupa are also provided.
