In this paper, we investigated and compared the students' performance in Enem 2010 in each Brazilian geographic region, considering different knowledge areas: Writing; Natural Sciences; Languages and Codes; Humanities and Mathematics. We used descriptive statistics to analyze Enem's micro data provided by the Ministry of Education. The results point to three different performances, such as: superior (South and Southeast), middle (Midwest) and lower (North and Northeast). All areas showed low performances, less than 58%; however, when comparing regions, we observed opposite results to Writing and Language exams.
