When the game at school is more than a game: possibilities of pedagogical intervention in the game of rules Set Game

The present research, based on the theoretical-methodological work of Genetic Epistemology, had as objective to identify and analyze the pedagogical implications of the game of rules Set Game, among students identified with learning difficulties attending Learning Support Classes, an official program of Paraná's government. The work, of qualitative nature, is classified as a descriptive-interpretative study of case and has taken place at a state school in the city of Londrina (in the state of Paraná). Ten students, who attended the program in the year of 2012, participated of the research in 18 workshop meetings. The results indicated the importance of offering opportunities, using games as an instrument, to develop cognitive processes in students who attend Learning Support Classes.
