Abstract
Ethnography and mental maps are important methodologies to present urban remains and spatial (re)configurations or marks that access the memory and belonging of a street. Therefore, we use some techniques related to these methodologies with a specific approach that seeks to present rua General Osório and its associated values, in the city of Novo Hamburgo, established as the Cultural Corridor of Hamburgo Velho and its recognition as an interest in preserving it. The article lists the concepts of memory, belonging, individual and collective heritage that are analyzed in the light of theories related to the territory, cultural values, among other concepts that help to reinforce how significant this referenced place is.
