Morphologic characterization in apple micrografts

The micrografting technique can provide an efficient production of high quality genetic plants, in a short time period and under controlled and aseptic conditions. The aim of this work was the study of micrografting technique by using in vitro plants and verifying the influence of application of growth regulators IBA and BAP, in Gala/M9 and Gala/Marubakaido scion-rootstock combinations. The combination Gala/Marubakaido had the lowest number of leaves when treated with 2,2 µM of IBA. However none of the other treatments had significant statistical differences. After acclimatization, the survivor rates from the micrografts were 92,5% to Gala/Marubakaido combination and 88,5% to Gala/M9. This study was developed in the Biochemistry and Vegetal Morphogeneses Laboratory (CCA - UFSC).
