INFLUENCE OF GIBBERELLIC ACID ON PHYSIOLOGY AND QUALITY OF VINE CV SWEET CELEBRATION® ON SUBMEDIUM SÃO FRANCISCO

ABSTRACT

The goal of this study was to show the effect of the application of single dose and fractionated dose of gibberellic acid at the gas exchange and photosynthesis and in the quality of bunch of the cv. Sweet Celebration grapes, in the submedium São Francisco. The experimental design was in randomized block, with 10 treatments (control; one, two or three applications of 10 mg.L-1; one, two or three applications of 15 mg.L-1; single application of 20 mg.L-1, of 30 mg.L-1or of 45 mg.L-1), with four replications, each composed of three plants. The gibberellic acid was applied in the phase of berries with 8 mm, increased the weight and the size of the grapes without influencing the soluble solids and titratable acidity. However, the larger mass (9,41 g), length (26,8 mm) and volume (8,12 cm3) of berries were according to three applications of 10 mg.L-1 resulting in the increments, respectively, 59%, 23% and 42.5%, when compared to the control. The three applications of gibberellic acid in the different phases of development of bunches, favored the photosynthetic activity and the quality of bunches and berries.
