Environmental characterization with high natural occurrence of araticum (Annona crassiflora Mart.) in Goiás State

14 areas were selected in the State of Goiás, Brazil, with high occurrence of the araticum specie (Annona crassiflora Mart.) and with smaller human being action possible. Each area had 1ha, and these areas were subdivided in four quadrants of 0,25ha. The relative data of the areas, plants and soils physical characteristics (0-20cm) was collected. The results demonstrated that the araticum tends to happen in larger density in "latossolos" in "concrecionários" of the plains in formation of typical cerrado. The total basal area of the araticum plants among the areas in study is influenced positively by the concentration of Ca, Mg and K in the soil. The density of araticum plants is influenced negatively by the concentration of iron in the soil. The geographical distance among the areas did not influence the density of plants, in the medium and total basal area of the araticum plants.
