EDITORIAL
Conquest of the first A
The RBF was established in 1978 to be the dissemination organ of scientific information of the Brazilian Society of Fruitculture (1970), it has sought to contribute with studies in different links of the modern fruit production.
Evaluating this contribution in different areas, we present the 249 studies published in 2011, classified as:

ECONOMY = 3
CROP PRODUTION =40

This motivated the development of the RBF in different areas, which can be proven by the data below:
In Agricultural Science I, the main focus of the RBF, we are making progress towards our A, which may be observed for the last two evaluations regarding the impact factor, increasing from 0.222 (2009) to 0.44 (2011).
These accomplishments have only been possible thanks to the authors, by the trust in delegating the task of spreading their contributions, to the 1040 advisors, that working in anonymity we can say that they are the anchor of the observed development, the valuable staff and editorial board, the associate editors who contributed greatly in the international penetration that we are conquering. The tireless support of the SBF board and the direction of the FCAV / UNESP, which for years animate the improvement of the impact factor, and the conquest of other A in these different areas.
