Assai seeds physiological quality evaluation

Forty seed lots of assai (Euterpe oleracea Mart.), harvested into the palms germplasm collection of Agronomic Institute of Campinas (Ubatuba, State of São Paulo) were submitted to seed physiological quality evaluation by the following tests: moisture content, germination, germination first counting (emission of germinative button at four days after sowing), germination speed and electrical conductivity. Seeds moisture content of the lots was from 32,2 to 45,5%. The evaluation of assai seeds quality can be based by tests of germination, germination first counting, germination speed and electrical conductivity when interpreted as a whole.
