Abstract
This article aims to study the evaluation process of PNLD Sociology textbooks, in the years 2012, 2015 and 2018, with the objective of analyzing exclusively the profile of textbook evaluators, as indicated in the PNLD Guides, published by the Ministry of Education (MEC), Secretariat of Basic Education (SEB) and National Fund for Education Development (FNDE). We are based on studies in manualistics, according to Mahamud-Angulo (2019) and Cigales and Oliveira (2019). We start from the assumption that textbook evaluators play a fundamental role in the scope of this public policy, since they are the ones who analyze, evaluate and elect the works that will compose the PNLD catalog for each curricular component.
