Abstract:
The article analyzes the history of the National Technical School from the memory of former students, members of the Alumni Association of the National Technical School and the Federal Center for Technological Education Celso Suckow da Fonseca. It investigates the educational project of industrial education reform in the 1940s and the life trajectory of students, focusing on the relationship between social memory and history of education, as well as experience and social identity in the world of work. The methodology of oral history and public history is claimed to renew analyzes of the history of education.
