Hematopoietic stem cell transplantation in childhood: current status and perspectives

Hematopoietic stem cell transplantation is a treatment option for a large number of children with malignant and non-malignant diseases. The objective of this article is to present the current status of hematopoietic stem cell transplantation in the treatment of malignant hematological diseases in pediatrics, including results in Brazil, and future perspectives.
