The Global and Oral Simulation: a Procedure and Instrument for Learning, Evaluation and Linguistics Research

Abstract

Global Simulation (GS) is a way of organizing work and class action that is frequently used in the teaching of second languages, especially in Spanish for Specific Purposes (SSP). This bibliographical review intends to verify the benefits that GS supposes in the learning of different competences, such as the sociocultural, and to underline the advantages that its adoption entails as an instrument of evaluation of oral skills, by prioritizing the interaction between learners. Moreover, the results of the review indicate that GS can shed light on various phenomena that occur in the field of related languages, especially regarding Lusophone learners of SSP, as well as deepen the research of learning and of use of the elements of conversational or interactional linguistics.
