Abstract:
This study aims to provide subsidies for a critical and reflective discussion about the Portuguese language learning processes through re-examining governmental initiatives and academic theoretical production, which sought to restructure the practices and epistemologies concerning this subject matter. Hence, we propose a subversion of some constructs that are present within language learning practices as well as an analysis which goes beyond language itself and conjugates socio-political and cultural aspects in both teachers' and students' classroom experiences.
