Beyond the Global, the Source, the Origin, and the Influence: Notes on the Differential Comparison Method

ABSTRACT

This article aims to problematize some specific notions of the comparative literature, established by criticism and literary theory, as well as to intensify the complex relationship between the global, the universal, and the international confrontation with the culture. The method of differential comparison is used and has multiple ways of conceiving the dynamics of genres, myths, and texts in a regime of migrations and contaminations increasingly linked to culture and the effects of meaning claimed by it and produced. It also seeks to list some assemblages that will have made part of the text, the myth, and the artistic sign increasingly diasporic, crossed and border.
