Abstract
The present study sought to measure the quality of life of the population before and after the installation of the new well in the town of Riacho das Flores, a rural area in the municipality of Reriutaba, in the northern region of the state of Ceará. The well aims to provide piped water to homes. A questionnaire was applied in a field research, whose results will be presented. After the arrival of piped water in the homes, 11.11% of the residents were able to develop agricultural and livestock activities, representing 27.78% of the interviewees. ¾ of the interviewees stated that there was an improvement in the quality of life.
