Contribution to the study of human lagochilascariasis

Aim: it is performed a commented bibliographic analysis on human lagochilascariasis, during the period of 1909 to 2001. Introduction: it is a zoonosis caused by lagochilascaris, with 109 cases reported exclusively in the Tropical America, pointing out the state of Pará with 49,5% of the world’s casuistry. Study desig: systematic bibliograph review. Material and method: it is used, as a methodology for consultation, a reference guide and disks of 14 data bases; direct research in 8 libraries; at bibliographic records of Fraiha and Leão and at the bibliography of papers obtained through such sources. Conclusion: it is justified the present work for the dispertion and scarcity of information about such theme, many times lacking data banks; and for the increase of human casuistry registered during the last decades, mainly in the Amazon Region.
