Brazil's foreign policy in the 21st century: the combining axis of horizontal and vertical multilateral cooperation

Considering the first decade of the 21st century, Brazil's foreign policy has been undergoing a significant evolution characterized by an assertive international stance and power projection, promoting an update and enlargement of strategic partnerships with developed and emerging countries. The aim of this paper is to analyze the main tenets of this agenda and the potentials linked to these efforts of horizontal and vertical bi and multilateral cooperation.
