The article analyses the current situation of human rights, guided by the critic affirmations of the Slovene author Slavoj Zizek, when he supports that the new emerging normativity of the human rights ends to be the form of appearance of its very opposite. Contemplating the 11th of September, without this constitutes the central focus of the study, the article evaluates the validity of these affirmations the empirical vicissitudes which the human rights have been facing in the last years.
