The article approaches the situation of Brazil-Argentina relations at the end of the 90's. It focuses on the four major fields of the process of integration, which are the economic one, where integration is stronger; the foreign policy and security one, which in the 90's presented disagreements; the scientific one and its limitations; and the field of energetic cooperation. It also utilizes a historical perspective as background for a better understanding of the period.
