Histologia do antro pilórico de Caiman crocodilus yacare (Crocodilia - Reptilia)

The general histology of the pyloric antrum of the stomach of Caiman crocodilus yacare is described. In the pyloric antrum, from the lumen outward, are found the mucosa, the submucosa, the muscular and the serosa layers. The mucosa is lined by a simple columnar epithelium and shows lamina propria with tubulous mucous glands. The epithelium of the pyloric glands is mucous and shows in the walls some polyedric cells, with central nuclei and the cytoplasm is rich in acidophilic granules.
