lsonebula acanthopleon a new species is described and illustrated from specimens of both sexes. The species name refers to the pointed process of the 5th pleonite. Its known hosts are Cyphocharax platanus (Günther, 1880), C. voga (Hensel, 1869) and C. spilotus (Vari, 1987) of the family Curitmatidae (Pisces).
