Legal culture and black diaspora: dialogues between Law and Race Relations and Critical Race Theory

Abstract

The article aims to dimension the dialogue between academic-political movements in the legal field that have positioned racism as a fundamental problem, such as Critical Race Theory and Law and Race Relations. Through a systematization of Critical Race Studies in Brazil, I do a review on legal productions resulting from interchangeable formations that founded and developed these research agendas. I conclude that the Black Diaspora is a transnational legal counterculture focused on racial justice.
