Abstract
This article presents a case study on the use of participatory methodologies as an instrument to diagnose violations of the right to water and access to justice of affected women in the case of the dam breakage that contaminated the Doce River basin in 2015. The diagnosis was based on the dialogue among affected women, the Movement of People Affected by Dams (MAB), and the Public Defender’s Office of the Espirito Santo State.
