Abstract
This paper presents a socio-legal approach to analyze the institutionalization of markets. The paper suggests the relevance of the legal dimension for the analyses of markets institutions and political struggles, as well as outlines a framework for future research. Methodologically, the paper aims to bridge different insights through a - critical but constructive - dialogue of workson the sociology of markets and the sociology of law and the economy.
