Statelessness in gender discriminatory legislation

Abstract

This article discusses statelessness using gender inequality in nationality laws as a departing point as well as the resistance/agency of stateless mothers. The analysis of ACNUR's Report in the light of the intersectionality of variables that contribute to female depowerment we can see in the reality of stateless women allows us to state that it is this specific situation that paradoxically lays the foundation of the agency of women in the fight against laws that discriminate gender.
