Abstract
The text addresses some of the important political and social contributions of the black women's movement, highlighting its emergence as an autonomous organization in 1988, with the First National Meeting of Black Women (ENMN), held in Valença-RJ, until the presence of black women's organizations at the 13th World Social Forum 2018, take place in Salvador, Bahia. Particular emphasis is attributed to the March of the Black Women, held on November 18, 2015, attended by about 35 thousand women. The demands contained in the “Black Women's March ” denounce the bankruptcy of the civilizing project carried out by the Brazilian State which excludes a significant portion of the Brazilian population and requires a new civilizing pact.
