The role of the Superior War School in supporting the Brazilian authority regime

Abstract

The paper identifies the role played by the Superior School of War in the articulation of the bureaucratic and economic elites of Brazil in the process of theoretical support of the authoritarian regime established in 1964. The study carried out a bibliographical review and adopted an empirical research strategy whose primary sources obtained in the archives of the Superior School of War indicated that the ESG occupied a privileged place for the support of the regime.
