The role of O.I.T. meeting market challenges

Abstract

This work aims to analyze the internationalization of labor legislation and its consequences nowadays, within a systemic perspective polycontextural. This objective is justified to the extent that the phenomenon of globalization generates a worldwide standardization in various sectors, reaching an influence on law, and highlighting the role of other actors beyond the state, such as with the International Organizations and Transnational Corporations . The theoretical study of the study was based on the literature, using the systemic method, advocated by Niklas Luhmann, which aims to describe the systems (open and closed) and its relationship with the environment. It was noticed that international standardization of the ILO's work suffers influence to promote the realization of the values that guide the work relations, especially the search for improvements in workers' social condition, and on the other by the pressure for the regulation of mercantile interests and the international competitiveness of enterprises.
