ABSTRACT
The work-family conflict, resulting from irreconcilable demands, affects more and more workers, due to the intensification of work rhythms and to the accumulation of roles. In this perspective, the objective of this research is to present the international scientific production on the labor-family conflict experienced by women through the analysis of the epistemological, theoretical, morphological and technical poles (quadripolar model). This is a systematic review that surveys the publications available in the Scopus database between 2008 and 2018, totalizing 41 articles. The results of descriptive statistics and content analysis indicate that in the epistemological pole a broad and robust objective is defined, reached by the test of hypotheses; in the theoretical pole, approaches on the multidimensional model, the theory of the roles, the theory of the bidirectionality and the theory of the enrichment stand out; in the morphological pole, we identify a positivist methodological approach to measure variables; in the technical field, there is an alignment between quantitative studies, survey research strategy and data collection through questionnaires. This study suggests the promotion of work-family policies in organizations as well as public policies that provide support infrastructure for women. It also proposes a research agenda for Brazilian studies.
