This is a study of the nursing school teacher appraisal and selection made in 19 Nursing School in São Paulo State. It emphasies the problem of the admission of the teacher in the Teatching Institution and the way they are selected, as well as the periodical evaluation of their performance. Among the results obtained it was observed that 85% of the teachers are admitted by indications and periodical appraisals are made in 72% of the schools.
