This study recaptures the historical legacy of the Nightingale model, showing its style of thinking (Fleck, 1986) and its praxis (Vázquez, 1990) this allowing the reflection and the action directed towards a praxis which transforms our formation and professional practice. To do such, we use a content analysis supported by Bardin (1977) in the light of a historical analysis.
