Qualitative research that aimed at implementing a Discussion Group that could be research strategy and woman assistance. The subjects were eighteen women from a Health Unit. The method was the convergent and assistance research. The thematic analyzes was applied to the generated content from the discussion. The results indicated that the women referred the strategy of the Group establishing the dialogue, hearing their own voices and the other's, developing the self-perception about the learning in the co-construction of the knowledge that contributes to the self-care. The Discussion Group had configured itself as opportunity and stimulation of the clientele in the fortification of the health promotion.
