The author intended to collect physical disabilities in a 218 leper population and to relate them to the occupations. The results revealed a high percentage of lepers whose jobs required physical effort, being often exposed to injuries, thus accelerating the process of physical disabilities. It was also observed that 76,12% of the sample presented isolated and/or related physical disabilities, in the hands, feet and eyes. This research took place between 1990 and 1991.
