A bacteriological study of the inhalation terapy material was made by the author, 60 (sixty) mask and 60 (sixty) nebulizers were utilized in this word, whith the objective to verify the efficacy of sodium hipochlorite solution at 1,5% with 10.000 p.p.m. of chlorine at the sterilization. In the development of the work, was observed the appearing of 2.075 colonies in the mask and 601 in the nebulizers. It was proved that in the first, the contamination is more easily, by the fact of are been in contact with the client. Beyond this, was observed that the cleansing and the brushing of the inhalation terapy material, whose process in complet ed by the material exposition during 20 (twenty) to 30 (thirty) minuts in a sodium hipo chlorite solution at 1.5% with 10.000 p.p.m. of chlorine.
