Quedas hospitalares, frequentemente causadas por múltiplos fatores, são preveníveis em mais de 90% das situações. Na maioria das vezes, ocorrem em ambientes adjacentes ao leito e ao quarto do paciente, apesar da avaliação de risco para quedas e da recomendação de cuidados universais para sua prevenção(2020 Agência Nacional de Vigilância Sanitária (Anvisa).
